Hello!
To promote broader interest in edge science (that is, topics that are ignored or studied inadequately within current mainstream science), I have created a personal project to give away three “Introduction to Edge Science Welcome Packages.” Each package contains a 1-year Supporting Membership to the Parapsychological Association (PA), a 1-year Associate Membership to the Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE), and registration for the upcoming joint SSE/PA online conference taking place June 23-26, 2022.
Membership in these organizations provides access to a wide range of networking opportunities and resources, including electronic access to the Journal of Parapsychology, Journal of Scientific Exploration, EdgeScience magazine, and Mindfield: The Bulletin of the Parapsychological Association, along with admission to member-only online events.
To be eligible to receive one of the three packages, you must:
• Identify as non-white.
• Currently reside in the United States (US citizenship is not required).
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have reliable internet access (this is not required but highly recommended as many of the benefits and activities are online).
To request one of the available packages, send an email to [PROJECT CLOSED] with the following information in English:
• Your full name
• Your email address (so you can be contacted about your request)
• Your US postal service ZIP code
• A statement affirming that you meet the eligibility requirements
• A personal statement explaining your interest in Edge Science (not to exceed 700 words)
Your request email must be received by noon PST on June 1, 2022.
All submitted information will be kept confidential and not shared with third parties.
On June 2, 2022, a Random Number Generator (a device often employed in Edge Science research) will be used to select the three package recipients from the pool of all eligible submitted requests. Recipients will be notified via email at the address provided.
The recipients’ information will not be publicly disclosed.

Can you provide more information about Edge Science?
Edge Science includes the study of a wide range of experiences and phenomena that push the boundaries of conventional scientific thought. Topics can include parapsychology (the study of telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, and post-mortem survival), advanced/alternative energy research, alternative/traditional healing, indigenous wisdom, astronomical anomalies, non-local consciousness research, biofield science, alternative philosophical paradigms, the nature of science, and more. Typically, these topics conflict with the current prevailing scientific paradigms, so they are often ignored or rejected within mainstream establishments.
Is this a cash award?
No. I will work with you to set up your membership accounts and conference registration then I will provide payments directly to the organizations. Once that is done, you’ll have complete control over your membership options and activity. The welcome packages are non–transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Do I need to provide any documents with my request?
No, but please make sure your request includes all the required information listed above, including a statement confirming your age.
Why the focus on the PA and SSE?
While many organizations support edge science research, I believe that the SSE and PA provide access to the broadest range of topics. People who are new to the field will be able to quickly learn about the ‘state of the art’ and meet the researchers in each area. From there, it will then be easier to access other, more topic-specific communities. In addition, this year, the PA and SSE have joined together for their annual meeting, which will allow new members to interact more efficiently with a larger group of researchers and topics.
Why are you doing this?
I believe increasing diversity in our field is essential, so I thought I would give this a try.
Is this project supported by any corporate sponsors or other agencies?
No.
